AAdidas Uprising (http://adidasuprising.com/) is a basketball organisation that gives a platform for 'upcoming' youth players to display their skills. Adidas first began hosting basketball tournaments in 1992: their Streetball tournament was originally organised in Germany in 1992, it proved hugely popular, and was expanded to countries across the globe. The Adidas Uprising organisation has evolved from their Streetball tournament. The most popular program within Adidas Uprising is their Gauntlet series: which is open to under 16, under 17 and under 18 teams in the US. In 2016, Gauntlet preview events will be held in Atlanta and Dallas in April, regional qualifiers will be held in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Chicago, and the final will be held in South Carolina in July. Another Adidas Uprising program is their Nations program: which features the best under 19 teams from countries in North America, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. Current NBA players - such as Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, and Serge Ibaka - have competed in Adidas Uprising tournaments.
