Q: Do shoes require a signature upon receipt of delivery?

  A: updated (02/02/2012)

Typically they do. Shoes - obviously - are too large an item to be posted through a letter box: therefore, you will need someone at home to receive the goods. Some couriers - such as the Home Delivery Network - may attempt to leave the parcel with a neighbour, who will be required to sign for the goods. In such a circumstance, the courier would post a card in your letter box informing you of the neighbour they have left the parcel with. Order shipped outside of the UK - to Eire, Europe, Canada, United States of America etc - will also require a signature upon receipt of the parcel.
