Nubuck has proved a popular material used in the construction of
footwear. Nubuck is a rawhide leather, and has similar properties
to suede. Nubuck is generally expensive, and when produced from
a quality tannery, will result in a premium full grain leather.
Nubuck is renowned for it's resilience and long lasting wear. Nubuck
is expensive due to the excessive dying which is required during
it's tanning to result in a soft and blemish free appearance. Nubuck
has been popularised by it's use in footwear with a "western
cowboy" style, such as the cowboy boot and the moccasin.
