Q: How long will it take for a cobbler to mend my shoes?

  A: updated (12/04/2012)

That will depend upon the shoe and the severity of the repairs needed. For simple tasks - such as replacing heel tips for stiletto's etc - can be done in 15-60 minutes; basically you can wait in the store for them to be repaired. For more elaborate jobs - such as replacing the sole and heel, or mending torn leather - you could be looking at over a day's wait to have your shoe's repaired. If you are returning later that day, or the next day, then you should expect to receive a ticket stub. It's difficult to gage the price of the repair work, on the whole expect to pay £5-£15 for minor repairs, and £20-40 for larger repairs.
