A Jessica Ennis is a British track and field athlete that has competed in the heptathlon, pentathlon and 100 m hurdles. Jessica Ennis is currently the 'poster child' of UK athletics, and, as such, is a marketable sports personality. Jessica Ennis has been sponsored by Adidas for many years and has recently featured in Adidas advertising campaign's; such as their 2014 spring/summer range for the Adidas Boost trainers. Ennis has also promoted the Adidas 'Climalite' and 'Climacool' technologies. Ennis hails from Sheffield, has a stand named after her at Sheffield United's football stadium, and has prospered under the guidance of athletics coach Toni Minichiello.
Ennis has competed at the following track and field events: Summer Olympic Games, World Championships, World Indoor Championships, European Championships, Summer Universiade, European U-23 Championships, European Junior Championships, Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. Ennis has won the gold medal at the following track and field events: 2012 London Summer Olympic Games; 2009 Berlin World Championships; 2015 Beijing World Championships; 2010 Barcelona European Championships; and the 2010 Doha World Indoor Championships.
