The Adidas Varial is a mid-top basketball sneaker that is part of the Originals range of Adidas heritage products.
The Adidas Varial is a fairly basic sneaker, featuring: leather upper; synthetic overlays; flat outsole; mesh internal lining; EVA sockliner; and a rubber cupsole. While the Varial was a decent shoe for it's era - the 1980's - it cannot compare to modern basketball sneakers that feature far superior cushioning and energy retention/propulsion systems. The Varial is now marketed by Adidas as a shoe suitable for casualwear; the most obvious cosmetic design features of the shoe are it's adjustable ankle strap and the large trefoil heel logo. As you can see in the above images, the position of the trefoil heel logo varies; slanted at an angle on some versions of the shoe.
