Adidas Traxion: outsole cleat and stud design

Adidas Traxion is a sports technology that Adidas have designed for the outsole of their sports performance footwear. Adidas Traxion provides footwear with a unique cleat design, that, as the name suggests, is designed to provide traction/grip in all weather conditions. Traxion outsoles can feature spikes, rubber ridges or studs - depending on the sport the footwear is designed for - and is designed to provide comprehensive balanced grip without creating a pressure point. Pressure points are usually created by cleat footwear: where specific studs have excessive strain placed upon them; which can increase the chance of injury for that part of the foot.

Traxion outsole, that is designed for the AX2 hiking shoe, the configuration of studs changes for the sport discipline the shoe is designed for. Showing the Traxion text logo, that is placed on the outsole of the shoe, next to the adidas performance logo.

Adidas state that Traxion is a trademarked technology that provides: "a super-high traction rubber outsole that is specifically designed to provide optimal grip in wet conditions." Adidas Traxion is primarily implemented into footwear designed for: golf, football, cricket, rugby, and outdoor pursuits (hiking, mountaineering etc). Adidas Traxion has been implemented into the following Adidas sneakers: Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Traxion Firm Ground; Adidas GolfLite WD Traxion; Adidas Tour Traxion TR; Adidas Kanadia 7 TR; Adidas Freefootball Tableiro; Adidas adiZero F50 Firm Ground; Adidas Supernova Sequence 7; Adidas Messi 10.4 Turf; Adidas Response Trail 21; Adidas XCS 5 Running Spikes; Adidas Performance ADISTAR RAVEN 3; Adidas M Climacool Boat SL; Adidas x Raf Simons Response Trail 2; Adidas Predito Absolado LZ TRX Astro Turf and Adidas SL22 Cricket Shoes.
