Adidas Saratoga: trainer named after town in Saratoga County, New York

The Adidas Saratoga is a heritage sneaker (a part of the Adidas Originals product range ) that is periodically released by Adidas. Some shoes in the Adidas Originals product range are in constant production - like the Stan Smith and Samba - but Adidas also like to keep some of their shoes exclusive, with limited edition reissues, that keeps demand and desirability high; ensuring that the Adidas Saratoga is a collector's piece to sneakerheads. The Saratoga may have been initially released as a part of the Island Series, but I cannot confirm that; it seems unlikely, as Saratoga is not an island but an inland town. That said, the Adidas Saratoga is similar in design to the trainers in the Island Series: trainers that have a minimum of fuss - cushioning, heel support, overlays - and are designed to be fashionable and appeal to 'casuals' and 'dressers'. Saratoga is a historic town due to it's role in the American Revolutionary War: British General John Burgoyne surrendered - after the Battle of Saratoga (1777) - to American General Horatio Gates.

Saratoga is a small town located in Saratoga County, New York, United States. This is a trainer that Adidas made and named in honour of that historic town.
