Moccasin's either come with a soft or a hard sole. Moccasin's were
originally used by the native people's of North America. The terrain
a tribe lived in would dictate the sole a moccasin had: in wooded
areas a soft sole (to walk quietly whilst hunting), and in rocky
areas (as seen in wild western movies) a hard sole. Traditionally,
a hard soled moccasin would have an additional piece of leather
as a sole; while modern day European hard soled moccasin can have
a leather sole, they are more likely to have a rubber sole.
