Q: Adidas Climachill: 'Not made for normal'

A Adidas Climachill™ is a trademarked fabric technology that enables athletes and sports persons to remain cool in hot climates and during strenuous activities. Adidas describe the technology as a: 'meshlike fabric which incorporates aluminum 'silver' dots into the material'. The apparent purpose of the aluminum laden fabric, according to Adidas, is that the metal conducts heat, and therefore repels heat away from the body.

Adidas state that Climachill provides the following: cooling effect / feeling when the aluminum dots touch a hot part of the body; the fabric is a 'breathable' 'polar' mesh to additionally remove heat away from the body; and titanium fibres are woven into the yarn to increase the cooling effect. Adidas Climachill is advertised with the marketing blurb 'Not made for normal', indicating that it's targeted at sports performance rather than as a casual fashion accessory. Adidas also market the Climachill technology as being a '360-degree ventilation system' and has a 'micro-perforated Aerocool fabric'. Currently, the following Climachill products are available: Supernova Climachill Tee (T-shirt); Uncontrol Climachill Polo Shirt; Climachill Rocket Shoes; Climachill Shorts; Running Climachill Crop Top; Techfit Climachill Bra; Techfit Climachill Tights; and Pure Boost X Shoes.
