Adidas describe Boost as an "energy returning" foam technology, and Adidas state that the Boost technology provides the following: absorbs an impact, retains the energy of the impact, and then can propel the retained energy. One of the first Adidas shoes to feature the Boost technology was the 'Adidas Energy Boost'; this shoe was released in 2013. The Adidas Ultra Boost and NMD_R1 are two shoes that feature a full-length Boost midsole (shown above); the majority of Adidas shoes that feature Boost have a 1/2 or 3/4 length Boost midsole. The following Adidas shoes currently feature the Boost technology: Pure Boost X; Pure Boost ZG; Pure Boost R; Ultra Boost Uncaged; Ultra Boost; Crazylight Boost 2.5; Climachill Rocket; Raven Boost; Adizero Prime; Response Boost; Adizero Adios 3; and Supernova Sequence Boost 8.
